FRIENDSHIP
May your glass be always full,
Ev’ry ball a strike or spare.
May ev’ry minute be not dull
As time with friends you share.
May your plate be full of meat
And your glass be full of wine,
But please, my friend, don’t make me eat
All that cheese you find divine.
They say that travel broadens minds,
That walking is a pleasure,
And that digging yields you finds.
Your friendship was the treasure.
It does not matter who may follow
Now time has come for you to rest;
For in one’s life there’ll be a hollow
‘Cos as a friend, you were the best.
